    The iOS and Android apps have generally not had the Computer Science courses, but this one is there in both apps.

    @Regina Great question! I just checked, and the mobile app *does* show AP CSP. Some of the functionality doesn't work as well as it does on the desktop (namely, the embedded programs in the Programming unit), but it is all there!

    Thank you so much for taking the time to create everything for this AP CSP Khan Academy Class. I had my students use it to review before the AP CSP Exam this year.

    I would like to use the class for a summer assignment for next falls class. Do you have the approximate time it takes to complete each unit in the course? Any estimate would help. I'm not sure how many units I should have them do this summer. Thanks again, Steve

    Hi Steve! By completing each unit, do you mean how long it would take for them to read the articles and do the exercises / master the unit? How much time will students have to spend? I think if I were to assign units over the summer, I'd assign Computers and maybe Internet (if enough time), given that CSP classes often spend lots of time on Programming (and that it's such a fun thing to learn in a classroom).

    I'm also working on the Global Impact unit that will cover a range of interesting topics, but that won't be fully out until the end of June.

    Pamela, yes on approximate time required to read the articles and doing the exercises. I want to use Khan for summer work, but I don't want them to spend too much time on the lessons. ( They need to enjoy their summers. :) )

    I like your idea of assigning computers and maybe internet.

    Thank you for spending the time on answering my questions and create these lessons! Steve

    @Steve

    Okay, I've put together back-of-the-napkin estimates in this spreadsheet:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Wth9xMo5HIlVXnRwSXI4mONvm6sEUL-djSRiypj88X8/edit#gid=358108172

    There are estimated unit totals in the first sheet and more details in other sheets. It's all very approximate, since there are a lot of factors at play (how much new material can a student learn before they need a break? how new are they to the topic? if they struggle and have no teacher/peers, how much does that increase the time it takes to get through a topic?).

    Hopefully that helps you decide what to assign. Perhaps you can ask students to report approximately how long it took them. It'd also be interesting to have them reflect on what was the most new/interesting in the unit, and what they still have questions on.

    I will have them try to log how long it takes them to complete the units I assign. Thank you so much for the spreadsheets with estimated times. This will most definitely help. Have a great summer. Steve
