I've been using Khan on and off for years as an adult learner. My very smart daughter has just turned 6 and I want her to benefit from the site too.
I created a new account for her using a different email address to the one I normally use. Obviously I specified her age as a minor and I was made aware a verification email would be sent. However, it happily let us start using the account straight away (without verifying) and she did about an hour of early math before I clicked on the email link to verify the account.
When I clicked through this I got to a parent dashboard with an option to create a child account, which seemed strange as I thought I'd already made one - my daughter had started training on it after all. I thought I was just clicking through the email to verify THAT one?
I tried in a different tab to log back into the new account we'd already used, but kept getting told the email wasn't recognised. We can't quite remember the username we created as I thought it was just for display and didn't expect to be logging in with it.
Eventually I went back to the parent dashboard and created a (2nd) new child account. While I can log into this (using the username only, not the email address, which is irritating) it's a completely new account, and my daughter is distraught that all of her work isn't there!
How can I get access to that original account? Why does clicking the verification email just take me to a page that asks me to create a new account? And why did it let my daughter do a load of work before email verification? She could have lost up to 7 days of work!
